Educational Videos

The following videos were created by the Metal Powder Industries Federation’s (MPIF) Industry Development Board (IDB). The IDB is composed of representatives from each of the MPIF’s powder metallurgy-related trade associations. There goal is the advancement of the powder metallurgy & particulate materials industry through marketing and educational efforts.

Learn more about how Metal Injection Molding, a Powder Metallurgy processing technology, serves both the Medical and Dental markets.  Precise, reliable, and complex parts are mass produced with excellent properties that meet demanding requirements for industries that are constantly advancing their technologies.

What is metal injection molding (MIM)? Industry expert John Enquist, former president of the Center for Powder Metallurgy Technology, reviews MIM while discussing technical information including how to know if a component is a good fit for MIM.

This video, in two parts, showcases the fabrication capabilities of the various technologies known collectively as powder metallurgy (PM), with particular focus on metal injection molding.
Part 1 of the program uses dozens of examples of actual components manufactured for many different applications to illustrate the benefits all the various PM technologies offer parts designers and engineers.
